Big White Part 1

Time for a family ski vacation in Canada! Our kids are all old enough that we could justify spending the time and money on a ski vacation -finally. We were able to get a great deal on a ski in ski out condo from my friends mother in law up at Big White. The dollar is much stronger then the Canadian dollar right now so that was a bonus for sure. We scored a sweet deal on some tickets someone was selling at the tubing hill the night before, and we got a discount because we have season passes at 49. Not too shabby. We invited the Osmun family to come with us and we had a splendid/spectacular/stupendous time! We drove up on Thursday and got there early enough to spend a ton of time on the really great tubing hill.  We stayed through sunset and into the night.  We had so much fun on the hill that we headed back the next night as well.
Most of us headed up on the conveyor belt to the top of the hill

Big White Part 2

Day 2 and 3 we spent on the slopes. I could get use to this kind of life! We got up and ate yummy breakfast then strapped on the skiis and hit the lift.  We were at the lift in 2 minutes-So nice.  Our whole family was able to stick together all over the mountain, which made it really easy to keep track of everyone.  The resort is so family friendly and we could really find something that made everyone happy.  We would go to the condo for lunch then hit the slopes again.  This resort is so big and has so many high speed lifts we could really get around.  We could sit 6 to a chair on a lot of the lifts which was a fun bonus as well.  The 2nd day we were over at Gem Lake and the snow ghosts were so pretty.  I didn't get any pictures of the crazy hot tubing the kids did or the all night movie watching and the game nights.  I guess that means we were too busy to take pics.  I was sad to leave, we hope to come back next year.  Many happy memories were made.
Most of the gang...missing Kevin and Paul and Elise.

February

February brought...more skiing!  Lincoln and I had  a few date days on the slopes.   I got to go to Lincoln's valentines day party, we did some rollerskating, and I got to go help make a giant lion/dragon head with Josie's class.  Josie discovered the joys of powder tree skiing, and Lincoln conquered some black diamonds.  Conor made the honor roll at Mountainside Middle School, -so proud of him.  Lincoln had his first trip to the dentist and Conor did some major damage to the checkbook with more cavities.   February was a good month!  No complaints here.

January

January blessed us with some awesome ski days. On New Years Day Kevin and I snuck away for a date on the slopes, it was a beautiful sunny day.  If we weren't skiing Kevin took the chance to do a little snow biking.  Josie has become a great ski buddy-she can get down most anything and she will come with me anywhere.  Baaken is the family favorite run for sure.  Yay!!!  Lincoln went to round table pizza for a school field trip and I got to tag along-oh to be 5 again!
