It's a...BOY

The silence has been broken, I can no longer hide my protruding belly and the fact that I have a parasite/sweet baby boy inside me depleting all energy and motivation. Conor is very very excited and has managed to tell everyone he knows that he is getting a little brother, which is why we kept it secret for so long. Josie is in her happy oblivion, but she has seen the pictures and calls him Baby Rocco with Kevin's excellent coaching. The first 15 weeks were torture, which is typical for me, but I am finally starting to feel a little better. I just have to remind myself that I will survive. Expected arrival is sometime during the last week in September-depending on c-section scheduling. 1/2 way there! I think the thing I am most nervous about is being outnumbered by kids...yikes. Wish me luck.

Weekend time zappers

Weekends are just too short. We have soccer and yard work, church meetings, birthday parties, cars to fix, shelves to hang, there is always something to organize or clean, and of course fun to have. Here are a few pictures to take a peek into what we have been doing.
Go Stingrays!
Conor and Daddy "fixing" the car
Finally enjoying our fire pit and backyard-
We haven't had a decent backyard
since we left Utah, so we have really been looking forward to this year.
Still a work in progress, but at least it isn't dirt

1st of many

Hard at work
Ta da...finished project

We have been spending a lot of our spare time lately learning about stingrays and creating a diorama of stingray habitat. Conor has worked really really hard and all his hard work paid off. I think it turned out really nice. This was one of those projects that is assigned to a 1st grader, but you know immediately that it will take a lot of parental supervision/time and you wonder where the fine line is that keeps it "his" project. All in all it was fun to spend time working with Conor and break out the hot glue gun(best tool ever!)
