Ski Season...maybe

We finally headed to 49.  We have so little snow but our season passes were rotting away, and we decided it was time to take the entire family skiing... Ready or not Lincoln was strapping on the skis.  I think 4 is a bit young to start skiing, but I was tired of finding a babysitter for him and one of the reasons we really like to ski is because we can do it as a family.  Teaching anyone to ski requires so much patience.  The first time down is torture, but then slowly but surely it comes.  Lincoln did amazing and is really getting the hang of it.  He doesn't like anything too steep yet ,but another year and some strength and he will be passing me up.  Josie has improved by leaps and bounds this year and Conor is waiting for all of us always.

The other pictures are of various days in January that we went skiing.  We had some sick days and I had been stuck at home for ages it seems, so I was stir crazy.  When no one was sick on the following Monday morning I made a last minute decision to let them skip school and go skiing.  The sun was shining and it was so nice to get outside.  I survived with all of them and their gear.  Mom of the day for me.  I also got Lincoln to the very top today, we left the bunny hill.  He did ok, but he got nervous on the steeps.

Kevin and I were able to sneak away for a ski date.  The snow was cruddy, but the sun was shining and we got to hang out together all day.  We later learned that it really was a stolen day for Kevin.  The big wigs thought he should have been working-lame.  Guess we won't be having any more of those days.

Ski Date!

Post Christmas Fun

For Christmas the kids got a trip to Mobius Science center downtown. We really wanted to get there to see the exhibit of Sue the dinosaur before she left. I was impressed!!! ENORMOUS! As usual, I enjoyed Sue more than the kids, but they all found something to love, water and magnets and sound experiments, my personal favorite was the spinning metal circles. After Kevin locked the keys in the car I made Conor play with the circles for ages with me.

Another gift for Christmas was a trip to Sky High.  Conor and Josie both brought along a friend and they all bounced and bounced and bounced for 2 hours.  Fun times.

New Years Day we took down Christmas.  As I went to take down the kids nativity I found that Lincoln had dumped baby Jesus and replaced him with his car.  I laughed out loud!  Love my Linc.  We brought in the new year ultra quiet this year.  Just us, some movies, some noise makers and sleeping children.  Lincoln and Kevin didn't make it to the new year, awake that is.  The rest of us did, very sleepily.  Happy 2015.  In my old age I think New Years eve is overrated if you ask me.  I am so boooring!!!
