We had a very quiet and peaceful Easter weekend at our house. I even managed to talk Kevin into taking a few pictures before we left for church. Josie wore her dress with only minimal crying and lots and lots of candy was consumed. Josie has been talking about Jesus and the people that tried to kill him but couldn't, so I guess we managed to teach her that Easter is a little more then egg hunts and candy.
We had 2 soccer games on the 1st B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L Saturday of the year that we were blessed with, and Conor played fabulous. The kids were outside the entire day...really. 8:00-6:00. They jumped on the trampoline practically all day. Conor had 1/2 the soccer team over to enjoy the sun. We colored Easter eggs, and I was able to squeeze in a 24 mile road ride and 3 mile run. Kevin got in a great spring mountain bike ride, so we were very happy and content on Saturday night.

The long awaited...baptism
Conor's 8th Birthday was extra special because he was able to be baptized the very day he turned 8-no waiting. The baptism turned out to be everything and even more then we had hoped for. We had so much support it was incredible. Besides all the wonderful family who traveled great distances to come, we also had many great friends and ward members there. Conor was especially excited that his 1st grade teacher took the time to come as well as a neighbor friend and her mom. We are so proud of Conor. I just can't get over that my little Conor is 8 and baptized. Before I know it, he will be headed to the MTC.
Birthday Fun for the 8 year old
Craig trying out the favorite birthday toy.
Conor's Birthday happened to fall on Conference weekend and on a Sunday. Since we were home and needed entertaining, Conor was allowed to open one of his presents every few hours. It turned out to be a great idea and a lot of fun to play with something different as the day went by and to help keep his mind of the upcoming baptism.

We had family visit!
We had the best weekend! Look at all the fabulous people who came to visit and be with Conor for his baptism. Craig and Chyleen and Sharissa decided at the last minute to make the trip up from Utah and we loved, loved having a full house.
Let the party begin!
Conor decided for his school birthday treat he wanted cinnamon rolls. As luck would have it, Kevin came home early so I could run the treats over myself and hang out with his class for a few minutes, which was really fun for both of us. Since his birthday was on a Sunday we brought the treats the Friday before.
