More November

One sunny Sunday afternoon we took the opportunity to get outside for a cold winter hike. We had fun tromping through the woods and throwing rocks into the iced over stream. Love spending time with my little family. I know these moments we get to spend together are fleeting.

If we can't go skiing yet we try to fill our Saturdays with some snow biking.  Brrrr!  This was a cold day.  Kevin got a new fat tire bike and he loves it.  I believe this was my last snow ride.  My toes are still cold!

Had to include this picture of the smooshed front end of my van.  Long story but I got in an accident....boo hoo.  My fault, the car in front of me went to merge into traffic then chickened out and I didn't realize she stopped.  Such a pain.  Thankfully the van wasn't totaled and the Osmun's let me borrow their car while mine was in the shop.

Thanksgiving this year we stayed close to home.  We got together with 5 families from our ward and we had a really nice time.  We talked and ate and played games and there was tons of yummy food.

November Happenings

The preschool field trip for November found us on the city bus! Lincoln was pretty excited to ride the bus and had been looking forward to it for weeks. We caught a ride to the Mobius kids museum and played all morning.

Josie and I got to spend a girls night out with Disney's Frozen on ice.  We got pizza at Blaze and then went to the show.  Pretty fun to hang out with my girl.

Conor is still playing the piano and he played in a 60's theme recital.  He did a great job and is getting to be a great little player.  Hope he keeps it up.

The BYU girls volleyball team came to play Gonzaga again this year and we were there to cheer them on!  We love when we get the opportunity to cheer for the Cougs.  They had a really slow start but once again made it a great game and won in the last seconds.  5 games with a win by 2 points.

Halloween

Grandma and Grandpa came to visit for a few days! They got to see Josie in her last soccer game and they helped us carve our pumpkins. The kids are getting so good at doing this on their own.  We made a trip to Costco to visit the GIANT Teddy bears, and we hung out at home and played games and read stories. Then it was trick or treat time! We were able to go with the Wilson's in the awesome trailer again. Josie was a cat, Lincoln was Spiderman and Conor was a weird pumpkin guy (just so he could go trick or treating)

Ion train ride

The Lions club runs a train ride during the weekends in September and October from Ion to Metaline falls. I have always wanted to do it but just haven't gotten around to it. Finally made it! We went up with the Osmun's and had the best time.

Early October Miscellaneous

October weather never disappoints in Spokane, this year was no exception.  Lincoln was coaxed into holding this preying mantis, we got to go on a trip up to Greenbluff with Lincoln's preschool.  We spent a Sunday afternoon up at bear lake and we got in some great fall bike riding.  I got to hit the trails a few time while Lincoln was at preschool.  I love this spot in Riverside park with the tamarack.  We had a few backyard bonfires, a band concert - conor is playing the piano for jazz band this year as well as the french horn for Cadet.  We made it to the greatest show on earth!  The Circus.  This was a memorable family outing, and I am so glad we went.
