I actually canned peaches and pears this year! Some of you may have to reread that as you are in shock. I am in shock. Now that I am over the shock I am so pleased with the end result. A big shout out to Kacey who endured this with me. I could never have done it with out her. I always said I would never can anything....famous last words. I hope to do it again next year.

Oh, they're beautiful! Seriously, I miss canning so much. Good for you!
I must admit I am in a little shock - this is my friend who lived in fear of baking bread! By the way - great kitchen! You guys always have a project - so whats next!?
It was fun! Hopefully we can do apples soon. They said the Jonagolds are almost ready. Those are the best pie apples.
Good job! I'm excited for you and a lil jealous. I want to can, but very intimidated by the process. Nothing like a good friend to show you the ropes-usually how I learn to do stuff. :)
That's great! I love canning peaches. We planted a tree but we eat them before I get them canneD. This year I bought peaches so I could can them. Way to go.
Looks fantastic! This was my first year as well - and I loved how they looked when all was done. My kids and I are now loving the results :)
Did you get lots of sticky juice goo on your countertops and stove after?
I am so proud of you Julie! They are so pretty to look at you won't want to eat them!
