Downtown Salt Lake City

Who knew riding a train could be so much fun? Instead of driving up to Salt Lake, we decided to add a new twist to the fun by trying out the new Front Runner train, well new to me. We jumped on in American Fork and rode it all the way downtown. The kids loved it, and it was really nice to all be in the same vehicle, to not have to park and to just head on home whenever we wanted. We pretended like we were regular tourists and hit as much as we could. We went to Temple Square and went to the visitor center, we tried to go to welfare square, but our group was too large, we went to the Joseph Smith movie, we went to see the new City Creek Center, we went to the Church history museum and we did a tour of the conference center. We ate at the Cheese Cake Factory and I even got our table free cheesecake-no avocado on your avocado turkey sandwhich and some other problems equals free cheesecake. Yay! Then we all got back on the train to head home. So great to be able to do all that stuff with cousins and family we rarely see.

-My first experience at City Creek, what a great addition to downtown, I would happily hang out here if I lived closer.

-Someday one of these kids will be standing here on their wedding day.
