Today was Sunday so we cleaned up camp and headed down to the local ward in Stevenson. I have never been welcomed so warmly at church. They had a greeting line as we walked in-it was a bit awkward but the church is true every where! After church we headed West...all the way west.
We headed to our campground located at Netarts Bay, just outside of Tillamook. We were really happy with this location and campground. Once we got camp settled we loaded into the van and headed to the Tillamook factory. The absolute best ice-cream in the world was calling my name.
I don't have a picture of us eating our delicious ice cream because I was chasing Lincoln and holding 2 ice-cream cones and trying to enjoy the yumminess. Just imagine some happy faces dripping with ice-cream. It was really interesting to read all the statistics and find out how
the cheese is made. This factory provides something like 10 to 15
percent of the cheese consumed in the United States and there is 50 million pounds of
cheese curing in the warehouse all the time. We did get to sample several kinds of cheese as well. What a happy place.
After the cheese factory we headed out to see the ocean. We went out to the Cape Meares Light house and the Three capes scenic route. The ocean views never disappoint.
