Oregon Coast Day 3

Day 3-Sent us north to Seaside and Cannon Beach. We had our first experience with tide pools and some of the sea life you can find at low tide. We split up and the girls headed towards haystack rock and the boys headed....the other way. They were looking for tide pools elsewhere. The beach was so long that we were apart for a good hour. We finally met back up in the middle and shared our treasure finds. This was the beach that Conor found a whole sand dollar. We later found that he had a good eye for them. This was a beautiful beach that attracts a lot of tourists. Once the tide started coming back in we headed for a quieter beach to have our picnic lunch. We had to do some searching but we ended up finding a real gem of a beach, just north of Seaside to spend our afternoon. The weather was just warm enough to coax the kids into the water, and just right for the adults to lounge in the sun and play in the sand.   What a way to spend a relaxing afternoon on vacation.

I think Grandma liked the tide pools and starfish even more then the kids

Looking the other direction away from haystack rock on Cannon Beach.  If you look really closely you can see Tillamook lighthouse right above Lincoln's head.

Conor and Josie running into the ocean.
Lincoln tried to keep a pretty healthy distance from the incoming waves.  He was happy with his truck plowing in the sand
Conor not wasting any time getting wet

I even got out there and played in the lapping waves.  Josie and I were chasing and pretending to fly and trying to hop the waves.  Fun times.

A beautiful view of the Oregon coast as we headed south on the 101 just beyond Seaside

Dinner outside at Netarts Bay
